Shawna has volunteered to demonstrate how light affects the growth of a plant. She had to make a diagram of her demonstration on a poster board. She also set everything up and took pictures of each stage so that she could show the results at one of the Junior High Science Fairs. Shawna demonstrated her botany project to her fifth grade class. The kids had a lot of fun, and they were able to see how germination does not take place under the wrong lighting conditions. They were also able to see that with the right light conditions seeds germinated and grow.
