Physical activity stimulates the development of bones and ligaments, increasing their ability to withstand effort and therefore reducing the risk of injury or problems in childhood and in later life. When it comes to kids fitness, the greater the elasticity of a child’s bones will facilitate the development of flexibility and protects from sudden trauma. It is a fact that a child’s pliable bones are susceptible to deformation by excessive repetitive mechanical stress, and this could lead to a damage to the growth plates. Fitness for kids is crucial in their development but it should be monitored when it comes to sporting activities where injury is commonplace.
