Okay… you took a long, long time to make up your mind, but you finally clicked the buy button and purchased your first elliptical home fitness trainer. Congratulations!
The web site said that shipping was included free of charge, so all you have to do is wait for it to arrive and you can get started with your planned exercise routine. Boy oh boy, you can feel the calories melting away already.
Finally, here comes Big Brown backing into your driveway. He’s got your 225 pound box of steel and it’s on its way to your front door. And, that’s where he leaves it because that’s what was included in the free shipping arrangement.
It’s not the end of the world, but it sure messed up your plans a bit. Now, you have to get this monster inside and, of course, then you have to assemble it.
If you could do it all over again, paying a little extra for inside delivery… and maybe even more to have someone assemble it for you… would make life a whole lot easier.
If you live alone and the delivery man comes to your door to deliver your new elliptical trainer… you better think about inviting him to put the package on the floor exactly where you want it because these things are heavy and if you don’t pay extra to get it delivered where you want it to be set up you are going to work up a sweat and get a sore back.
