Because of certain property tax laws most new house builders will leave the basement unfinished so one of the first things a new home owner starts to question (once they have settled in and such) is how much does a basement finishing cost? The answer of course will depend on what you will be using the space for. A den for dad, a play room for the kids, a games room, home cinema, workshop…. the list is only as short as your imagination. Once you are sure what you are going to use it for you will need to draw up a plan and stick to it.
