In India, it is very common to have pets like, dogs, cats, rabbits, etc., but people are seldom known to have turtles as pets. It could be because people are under the impression that turtles need lot of attention, maintenance and investment too. When I had been to London along with my younger son, we stayed in one of our friends’ house. Our friend had turtles as pets and my son was amazed to see a huge turtle tank filter in his house. For as long as we stayed there, my son’s favorite pastime was watching the turtles and needless to add, he rarely accompanied us whenever we decided to go out.
