Using a telescoping ladder safely should be utmost in your mind when doing a home improvement project requiring you to work at a height. You should wear good sticking shoes or shoes with rubber soles so that they will be able to grip the steps a lot better. Keep in mind to constantly be facing towards the ladder and to not turn backwards or sideways. And this also applies to ascending and descending the ladder itself. Also, don’t forget to not stand on either of the top two steps because you have less control that high up and may fall. And if you plan to be going up and down quite often then you should think about getting a tool belt. Tool belts are extremely helpful because they literally hold all your tools right there in that little pouch for you.
