At my place of work they have an annual award for the person that brings in the most revenue for the year. I’ve worked at this outfit (I’m in sales) for the last twenty years and have one what the call the “Summit” award for seven of those years. Each year we get a quite nice memento, a carved duck, usually in a swimming position soo they fit nicely on a mantlepiec or whatnot. They also have it engraved with the recipients name, done by some chap with one of those Computerized Engraving Machines. He manages to do a pretty nice job, and I know the fellow, he’s no rocket scientist, so they must be pretty east to operate.
You mean all you get is a duck? What no cash award as well. Sound like a cheap ass company to me. You should look around for anothe employer I’d say as they’re not providing you much. I mean, a duck??
