I have been trying to find a device my grandmother can use in case of emergency. We have somebody with her most of the time, but every once in a while there is a few hours she is by herself and we would like to cover all of the bases so to speak. We have been looking at an elderly panic button.  I have been doing a lot of research on the internet and there is a lot of information available. There are a lot of sales going on right now and some even offer free shipping. Now that’s a good deal!

My son saw a gas scooter on television last week and from that time on he wouldn’t stop talking about it. Well, his birthday is next month, so I started hunting to see what I could find. I just bought him a Razor 300 Watt Scooter. It is a bit much for a kid, but I know he is going to love it. I ordered it online and it will get here in plenty of time for his birthday. He is going to be so excited. I know he will love it and be the envy of all of his friends.

My son came home today and announced that the 5th grade Science projects were due at the end of the week. While I’m sure these are fun for the kids, they’re a lot of work for parents too. Maybe everyone doesn’t have kids like I do, but mine tend to put things off until the last moment and this time was no different. I remember having to do a science project in the seventh grade and it turned out great, but my project was based on topics that I really liked. My son is not into science though and doesn’t find this fun at all.

I needed to find a scooter to help me get around since my weight had caused me to lose some of my mobility.  I had used several scooters in the past and none of them seemed to do the trick. Being obese is difficult enough but it really takes a hit at your pride when your scooter dies on you in the middle of a crowded store. A friend of mine in the medical field recommended that I try Pacesaver scooters. I had actually heard really good things about these scooters from a few other people and now I am just waiting for my new ride to arrive.

Recently I had the worst year of my life. My sister had a baby and, when she called to tell our grandmother, our grandmother hung up on her. I called her back that afternoon to see how she was doing and she told me she was on the way to the hospital. She wanted me to call my aunt who lives close to her as I am halfway across the country. I couldn’t get a hold of my aunt and did not know who had taken my grandmother to the hospital. That same day I purchased one of those medical alarms so she will always have one if she needs assistance and no one is around. Thankfully a friend took her to the hospital, but I did not know that. I was absolutely terrified.

Shawna has volunteered to demonstrate how light affects the growth of a plant. She had to make a diagram of her demonstration on a poster board. She also set everything up and took pictures of each stage so that she could show the results at one of the Junior High Science Fairs. Shawna demonstrated her botany project to her fifth grade class. The kids had a lot of fun, and they were able to see how germination does not take place under the wrong lighting conditions. They were also able to see that with the right light conditions seeds germinated and grow.

When considering Medical Walkers, an important thing to keep in mind is where will the walker be used primarily? Although most walkers can be used indoors or outdoors, there are advantages and disadvantages to most models. For instance, 3 wheel walkers have great maneuverability and because of the design, they work well in homes or areas indoors that have tight spaces. However, they are much less stable; especially outdoors on smooth concrete. Therefore, they would not be the best choice for someone that is not agile enough to control it. Weighing the pros and cons of all models is best so there are no problems.

I really, truly adore babies. Even if I am single, I have always been a buyer of baby clothes and Infant Gifts for my niece. I just love the way baby clothing looks like, with the adorable designs and sizes. I love to buy colorful and bright colors for baby clothes such as pink, red, blue, orange, yellow and mint green. They seem to liven up the mood of babies and kind of affect their moods too. Baby clothes are very cute and I simply like spending money for it and dress up my niece. I even buy hats and socks to match what they wear.

For a few years now my mobility has been deterioting through no real fault of my own, but as a result of the slow proggresion on a horrible disease: Parkinsons disease. If you’re at all familiar with this ailment you’ll know how it causes “the shakes” with resulting unsteadiness. I was getting so bad I was becoming somewhat reclusive as I just was afraid to venture out as I couldn’t stay steady on my feet.

My dear wife, bless her soul presented me with a great gift, a folding mobility scooter. This little machine has enables us to enjoy what we used to do together, drives, eating out, short walks, travel etc.

The folding action makes it dead easy to transport, what a great invention.
