I have always wanted to learn How To Open Up A Daycare center. I have always loved children and wanted to work with them. When I was in high school, I worked at the daycare center that was on site there. It included kids from infants to preschool ages. I was able to work with all of the age groups so I got a very well rounded beginning to the ins and outs of a daycare business. Then I went to college and studied child development in a more formal setting. I also took some business classes because I knew that would help me too.

When I was a young boy I loved to play pinball. My friend Roger and I would head to the local bowling alley with out dimes that we earned from our paper routes and play as long as we could.

It was a blast to win and get a replay. Nothing sounded better than that loud clicking noise when you won a free game. Sometimes we could go for hours on just the one dime.

There were always bigger boys who seemed to know the tricks and secrets of each machine. If they were not the hood types with Winston cigarettes rolled up in their shirt sleeve we would ask them for tips.

Now that these same machines are available for private use, many people use them to create one of those special Family Fun Places at home.

I have always wanted to be a teacher for as long as I can remember. When I was offered the job as a teacher’s assistant, I just could not let the opportunity pass me by. I was working with kids in the 4th grade, which I absolutely loved. The class worked on Science Projects last month, and some of the kids came up with some pretty cool ideas. Some of the things I would have never had thought of on my own. I love this job so much that I am planning on going back to school to get certified to be a real teacher.

My son came home today and announced that the 5th grade Science projects were due at the end of the week. While I’m sure these are fun for the kids, they’re a lot of work for parents too. Maybe everyone doesn’t have kids like I do, but mine tend to put things off until the last moment and this time was no different. I remember having to do a science project in the seventh grade and it turned out great, but my project was based on topics that I really liked. My son is not into science though and doesn’t find this fun at all.

Shawna has volunteered to demonstrate how light affects the growth of a plant. She had to make a diagram of her demonstration on a poster board. She also set everything up and took pictures of each stage so that she could show the results at one of the Junior High Science Fairs. Shawna demonstrated her botany project to her fifth grade class. The kids had a lot of fun, and they were able to see how germination does not take place under the wrong lighting conditions. They were also able to see that with the right light conditions seeds germinated and grow.
