Every business that has a website, must have the facility to collect it’s visitors details for it to grow and succeed long term.

email-marketingIf you currently have a website and it doesn’t have the ability to collect and automatically add your visitors contact details into an automated follow up process, then  you basically have an online promotion rather than an online business.

Your website is not just an advertisement about what you do, your website should be considered to be a business in it’s own right.

Give your visitors an opportunity to leave their contact details, so you can provide information to them both immediately or well into the future.

It’s not just in the offline business word that a business needs to have a client base who will regularly give them money in return for services offered, but In the world of online marketing, collecting visitors details and building a database of clients really is the cornerstone of success, there is no better way of quickly generating cash-flow, than through a list of contacts, who have previously visited your site or have purchased from you in the past.

If you want to grow your business, both online or offline, you need to be focused on building a list of potential prospects and clients from day one.

Always remember that the people who are visiting your site, have come to you for a reason, it’s because they are looking for information in your area of expertise.

These visitors have found your site because you have something that they want, Information that will solve their Problem.

These are the people that can keep you in business, as long as you provide good quality products or services and over time build a relationship with them through consistent contact and follow-up campaigns, your visitors will reward you through spending their money on your products and services, either now or in the near or distant future.

Their are numerous ways you can gather leads from your website, one way is to have a landing page that forces the visitor to input their name and email address before they can access any more information.

another method, is to offer a free report that has a high value to your visitor, (this is the method I use on this site,)

Just Because It’s Free Doesn’t Mean They’ll Want It.

If you plan to give away a free report in return for your websites visitors to sign up to your list, you need to give them something of real value. Sell them on how your free report will help them to succeed at achieving their goals. Give the visitor a reason why the free report can solve their problem.

You can’t force anyone to give you their contact details and sign up for whatever free gift you are offering, so you need to convince them that they actually need your report.

Some other ideas you could use instead of the free report method could be you offer a free membership, or a course that is delivered via email over a period of time, or a free quote or phone consultation.

Be creative don’t just limit your self by doing what seems to be the standard free giveaway.

When you build a responsive subscriber list, you are essentially laying the foundation for a successful business. because it will be these leads that will prove to be the lifeline of your business well into the future.
